“A lot of people are hostile to me and my dreams. I mean, there’s a lot of discrimination, prejudice, and hatred going on. They just can’t get over themselves, I guess. They just don’t like me, even though I didn’t do anything to them. I think it’s discrimination and hatred, at the end of the day.”

Well, forget them. These might be bullies, by the sounds of it. Just be happy and chase your dreams; keep climbing that golden ladder. Take it step by step; you’ll reach your goals, in time. And be happy in the present moment. Forget the haters. Pray hard for them. And live your life for God; for yourself; and for the people who love you. Do not listen to hatred, intolerance, violence,  and prejudice. Turn the tv off, if it’s promoting that type of stuff. Turn the radio off. You don’t have to take part in “the culture, out there.” A lot of popular culture and the media is toxic. And a lot of people you meet in real life are toxic, they have toxic tendencies. Don’t let anything get you down. Just walk away; turn the tv off, completely; etc. Don’t give hatred, your attention.

*I myself am really just starting to ignore all the toxicity in life. I just don’t take part. And this is what our prophet said in Hadith, I think. He (pbuh) said that in times of extreme corruption and evil, focus on your prayers and your religious duties. Don’t even go outside that much; just do what you absolutely have to, and go back to your deen, to your religion. Don’t engage in corruption, like the rest of society does. You’re your own person; you’re a god-fearing individual. You’re better than that.

So alohamduillah; I’m praying for everyone. And I think I’ve sort of figured out how to live a peaceful life for the most part. I mean I personally just have to keep up with my obligations and give every day its due diligence. *But I’ve figured out how to live in peace—ignore all the toxicity, do not even think about it. Literally just ignore it. Do not engage it, do not humor it. Turn your attention to something productive. Sit still and smile; take control of your mind and meditate. Subhan Allah, it’s the same thing all the prophets and saints warned us about. They said this same stuff literally thousands of years ago…

“The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. “We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers.” And they say: “We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys.”

“On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) “Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith.”
